FX STIRT Pricing Tech Lead India – SVP Full Time

This is a Tech Lead role within the FX Technology Team based in Pune.This is a key role to to manage, support and lead the team in India to help enhance and build the Core and Client pricing platforms and trading tools with a focus on FX STIRT/ Linear Markets with the space to extend across to FX Options area in the future.

The FX Pricing (STIRT/Linear/Options) Technology Team is one of the most exciting and fast-paced teams within FX Technology and is responsible for delivering the electronic technology platform for the business. The team are directly integrated with the Trading Desk and Quants, and deliver technology covering the major liquid instruments and markets such as FX Forwards and Swaps, Precious Metals, eNDF, G10 and EM. The team s responsibilities extend to all aspects of the electronic trading domain, from market connectivity, pricing models, Curve distribution and risk management. The liquidity provided by the Trading platform is distributed to a wide range of venues such as client API, ECN s, Multi-Bank platforms and our own Single Dealer trading platform (Velocity).

The role will primarily be to lead the technology team in India that covers the core pricing and trading tools team. He will be involved in supporting a number of apps and be responsible with working with the wider FX pricing tech team to support, help build and architect solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help to design, build and maintain the structure of the IT systems and contribute to help lead the tech roadmap for applications used by STIRT/Linear business
• Work across STIRT and FX more widely to ensure the technical architecture and plans are well aligned.
• Close interaction with Traders and Quants to understand new requirements for applications across the platform, specifically focussed on low latency Pricing and Distribution.
• Help deliver large scale projects through hands-on development and technical leadership.
• Assist with technology problems and challenges as they arise.
• Mentoring and help lead the team in India.
• Continual improvement of the software development lifecycle and quality of the product.
• Ad-hoc and on-desk support of the production systems (a dedicated 24h support team handles 1st line).

Knowledge/Experience:

• Extensive years commercial Java development experience; ideally having more, which could be in another OO language (i.e. C++, C#).
• Experience developing highly performant software in Java.
• Experience of leading an electronic trading Technology Team.
• Self-starting individual with experience of working in a desk facing role.
• Experience designing and developing distributed systems using a range of middleware products.

Skills:

• Quantitative understanding of the FX trading business or related areas (e.g. Equities high frequency trading)
• Java, OO design.
• Distributed Systems Technologies Messaging, Caching, Database.
• Understanding of computing science fundamentals concurrency, algorithms, operating systems,
• Process and tools to produce well written low defect rate code.
