Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a French Teacher at Tutoria Learning Academy. The French Teacher will deliver live, one-to-one online lessons that build students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French. Daily responsibilities include planning engaging, level-appropriate lessons, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to learners and, when appropriate, their caregivers. The teacher will adapt instruction to different learning styles, prepare and grade assignments, and maintain accurate records of attendance and performance. The role also involves collaborating with academic staff to align with curriculum standards and participating in periodic training or professional development sessions.

Qualifications

• Strong instructional skills in French Teaching and general Teaching, with the ability to explain grammar, vocabulary, and cultural concepts clearly.
• Experience in Tutoring and one-to-one or small-group Education, including differentiating instruction for diverse learning needs.
• Background or training in Education and Teacher Training, with familiarity in curriculum design, assessment, and learner engagement strategies.
• Near-native or native proficiency in French and strong command of English for clear communication with students and families.
• Bachelor’s degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; teaching certification or equivalent credentials is preferred.
• Comfort with online teaching platforms, digital resources, and basic educational technology tools.
• Reliable internet connection, professional online presence, and ability to manage a consistent part-time schedule.
• Demonstrated patience, cultural sensitivity, and commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment for learners of all backgrounds.
