Roles and Responsibilities :

• Screen and assess in-patients for nutritional risk as per the protocol.
• Provide appropriate clinical nutritional care to patients at risk.
• Plan nutrition therapy according to disease and medical problems.
• Review patient records, medical charts, lab results to develop an appropriate plan of care.
• Coordinate with food services department regarding specific patient care issues to ensure appropriate meals are provided to the patients.
• In-consultation with interdisciplinary care team, develop, monitor and adapt nutrition care plans over due course of patients admission.
• Ensure appropriate nutrition education upon discharge.

Desired Candidate Profile :

Education: Graduate/Post Graduation/ M.Sc. In Food Science & Nutrition/Dietetics.

Experience: 1-5years.

• Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form to patients, medical staff, and consultants.
• Ability to function independently on assigned patient care units.
• Ability to counsel and educate others and adapt method of teaching style to accommodate different lifestyles or backgrounds.
• General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, basic computer skills.
• Adaptable to fluctuations in scheduling or work duties when needed.
