The Online Course Developer works closely with the instructional designer and the instructional technologist. They are responsible to maintain current course materials as well as modify and improve them and uploading and updating online course content including activities, videos, images, etc. to the learning management system to create engaging and effective learning experiences for our students.

Responsibilities:

• Support instructional designers and instructional technologies to develop and update course content using a variety of media, including video, audio, graphics, and interactive elements.
• Work closely with instructional designers to ensure that courses meet best practices for online learning and are accessible to all learners.
• Test and debug courses to ensure they function properly across multiple devices and platforms.
• Ensures the application and integration of appropriate teaching and learning theory and distance learning principles into a fully online course development process.
• Update course syllabus.
• Provide technical assistance and support to instructors and students when necessary.
• Stay up to date with new tools and technologies for online learning and incorporate them into course development.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in education, instructional design, or related field with relevant experience
• One or more years of instructional design experience.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage time, projects, and resources to achieve goals.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and excellent writing and editing skills.
• Experience working in a learning management system (Moodle preferred)
