Position: Faculty of Business Analytics / Data Science (Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor)
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Role Overview:The role involves teaching, research, curriculum development aligned with industry needs, training, consultancy, and contribution to institutional development activities in the domain of Business Analytics and Data Science.
Key Responsibilities:Teach courses in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, and related subjectsDevelop and update curriculum in line with industry trends and academic standardsMentor students in academic projects, dissertations, internships, and research activitiesIntegrate analytical tools and industry applications into classroom teachingOrganize workshops, seminars, FDPs, and industry interaction sessionsParticipate in institutional administration, committees, and development activitiesUndertake consultancy, training, and executive education assignmentsBuild industry collaborations for live projects, internships, and placement supportEligibility Criteria: 1. Assistant Professor:Masters degree in relevant discipline (M.Tech in Computer Science/IT, M.Sc. in Statistics/Data Science, or equivalent) with minimum 55% marksNET/SET/Ph.D. as per UGC norms is desirableStrong academic background with teaching aptitude and/or research capabilityExpertise in software/tools such as Python, SPSS, C++, R, Jamovi, etc.2. Associate Professor:Ph.D. in the relevant disciplineMinimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience, including at least 2 years post-Ph.D.Minimum 5 research publications in refereed journals as per UGC/AICTE normsStrong expertise in Python, SPSS, C++, R, Jamovi, and related analytical tools35 years of corporate/industry experience preferred3. Professor:Ph.D. in a relevant field with consistently strong academic recordsMinimum 10 years of teaching/research experience, including at least 4 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalentMinimum 10 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-CARE listed journalsProven experience in research supervision, academic leadership, curriculum design, and institutional administrationExperience in securing research grants, consultancy assignments, or executive education programs will be an added advantageRequired Skills & Competencies:Strong command over analytical and statistical tools/softwareResearch orientation with publication capabilityAbility to integrate industry practices into academic teachingExposure to interdisciplinary and outcome-based education frameworks
