If I were to summarise my 75-year acting career, it was without any formal training or education, through a journey of struggle, taking years to slowly blossom into a fruitful experience. Thus, my dream and aim is to create for the industry and the younger generations, a film school that is of international standards, here in India. Founded in 2011 by Sri Akkineni Nageswara Rao & Akkineni Family, Annapurna College is one of India’s first private, non-profit Film and Media School. The College is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU). It is also a Full-time CILECT Member (International Association that governs Film Schools). It offers both Undergraduate & Postgraduate Degree Programs which gives students a clear head start in their career. The college focuses on teaching the complete art of filmmaking. Students graduate with Dual Specialisation – along with Major in Direction, students can select Script Writing, Production, Cinematography, Editing or Sound Design . Students have the advantage of being mentored by global film experts. The Advisory Board of the College includes reputed experts like Steve Kaplan, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Kabir Khan etc.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Should possess excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Should have strong subject knowledge and practical expertise in the relevant discipline.
- Candidates should possess regular full-time qualifications in Graduation and Post-Graduation from recognized institutions. Industry experience in film, media, and creative fields will be an added advantage.
- Should be capable of developing and implementing innovative teaching, learning, and assessment methodologies.
- Should demonstrate the ability to mentor students in academic projects, film productions, and industry-oriented assignments.
- Prior teaching experience, professional industry exposure, research, publications, or notable creative work will be an added advantage.
- Should be willing to undertake academic, administrative, student mentoring, and institutional responsibilities as assigned from time to time.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and their applications in media education and content creation, will be preferred.
