• Curriculum & Lesson Planning: Design comprehensive lesson plans, select reading materials (novels, poems, essays), and align course content with academic curriculum standards.
• Language & Literature Instruction: Teach the mechanics of grammar, punctuation, syntax, vocabulary, and correct pronunciation, while guiding students through the critical analysis of diverse literary styles.
• Student Assessment: Create, administer, and grade examinations, essays, quizzes, and classroom projects to evaluate student proficiency and progress.
• Classroom Management: Establish and enforce rules of behavior to maintain a safe, inclusive, and orderly environment that encourages active student participation.
• Differentiated Learning: Modify teaching methodologies and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles, and create individualized plans for students requiring extra academic support.
• Stakeholder Communication: Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide regular, constructive updates regarding student performance, grades, and behavioral progress.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, track assignment completion, and collaborate with administrative staff to foster a positive school environment.
