A Social Studies/Science Teacher instructs students on historical events, societal structures, politics, and culture. Responsibilities include developing engaging lesson plans, facilitating critical discussions, and assessing student progress. The ideal candidate fosters an inclusive classroom and connects complex concepts to current real-world events.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Delivery: Design and execute developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligning with educational standards.
• Classroom Management: Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and respectful environment where students feel safe discussing complex social and political topics.
• Assessment & Evaluation: Grade assignments, track academic performance, and provide meaningful feedback to improve student outcomes.
• Skill Building: Develop students’ critical thinking, research, and analytical skills through spirited debates and project-based learning.
• Parental Communication: Regularly update parents or guardians on student progress, behavioral milestones, and areas needing improvement.
• Professional Growth: Stay informed on current events and collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, or a related field; B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) is typically required.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of teaching experience at the secondary or higher secondary level.
• Hard Skills: Proficient in using instructional technology, data-driven assessment, and curriculum development.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, conflict resolution, cultural sensitivity, and strong classroom management capabilities.
