This international school in Hong Kong is seeking Primary and Secondary Key Stage 3 French Teacher as soon as possible. This will be online teaching initially until the successful candidate can get to Hong Kong (or it may even be a temporary online position until the school can find someone permanent who can get to Hong Kong). The school offer a British international education to pupils aged 6 months to 14 years of age via a bilingual and an international stream. The lessons in the bilingual stream are equally split between English and Mandarin, whilst the International Stream is mainly conducted in English with daily lessons of Chinese. The curriculum at Foundation Stage is based on the UK EYFS, the Primary School (Years 1-6) follows the English National Curriculum, and the Secondary School prepares students for the IGCSE from year 10. The curriculum follows the best practices of British education blended with parts of the local Hong Kong curriculum and personalised learning. There are also a variety of over 50 Extra-Curricular Activities offered to expand pupil’s interests.

All applicants should have an appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving QTS. curriculum expertise in the UK National Curriculum and relevant experience and expertise as a class teacher. They should be informed of best practices in Education, have a passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child, a high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children and recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities. Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background, previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language, a positive and solution-focused attitude to working life and acceptable references and police checks are also required.
