Job Description:We currently have an opening for a talented Engineering Manager who still thinks in code but also realizes that a manager’s time is better spent mentoring and leading a team of talented engineers, someone who is not shy to dive into solving challenging problems but also understands that rolling up the sleeves and learning new skills is essential to get the job done. In this role, you would be working with the MERN stack to build our solutions that would effortlessly scale to support millions of students. You’d also be a creative thinker who constantly strives to streamline the processes to improve the quality and reduce the time to market.Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of developers to build and release product features on MERN stackRole will involve 50% engineering development and 50% team management activitiesImplement Software Engineering practices like Agile, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and best coding practices through the development cyclesConduct regular reviews on code and all aspects of engineering product development cycleWork closely with the leadership team in driving product enhancementsAdditional InformationQualifications/ Requirements:8+ years of Hands-on technical expertise and people management experience.Experience in a SaaS Product startup / companyCandidate must be a resident of Bengaluru.Tier 1 / Tier 2 Engineering education is highly preferred.Must have relevant experience in designing, building, maintaining, and extending large-scale production systems.Have deep expertise in React.js, Node JS, and MongoDB.Proven leadership skills; courage to challenge with candor, motivate and inspire teams.Team handling experience of managing 10+ members is highly desirable.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.The role consists of 70% Technical work and 30% Managerial role Note:Temporarily Remote working but the candidate must be a proper resident of Bengaluru.5 Days working. Also sometimes support US team when necessary for Product release, etc.Required QualificationGraduation – Bachelor of Engineering – Bachelor of Technology (B.E./B.Tech.)
