Experience : 2 to 5 years as an HOD/PGT
Salary : 50k to 55k depending upon the last drawn salary and candidature
Roles & Responsibilities
- Leading and driving theSocial Studies Curriculum
- Developing and implementing acoherent and progressive curriculumfor the department
- Ensuring that the department’s teaching and learning strategies areeffective and engaging
- Providingleadership and guidanceto the department’s teachers
- Conductingperformance appraisalsand providing feedback to the members of the department
- Ensuring that the department’sassessment practicesare effective and aligned with the school’s policies
- Ensuring that the department’sresourcesare up-to-date and relevant
- Ensuring that the department’spolicies and proceduresare in line with the school’s policies
- Ensuring that the department’sbudgetis managed effectively
- Ensuring that the department’sextra-curricular activitiesare engaging and relevant
- Ensuring that the department’scommunicationwith parents and other stakeholders is effective and timely
- Ensuring that the department’sprofessional developmentis aligned with the school’s goals and objectives
- Ensuring that the department’ssafeguardingpolicies and procedures are in line with the school’s policies
