Summary of the position

Founded in 2001, Educational Initiatives Private Limited (EI), is South Asia’s leading assessment research and educational technology organization, motivated by the vision of creating “a world where children everywhere are learning with understanding”. With our focus on educational research, assessments, pedagogy-based personalized adaptive learning (PAL), and a Science of Learning (SoL) repository of data and techniques to help children learn better, we continue to strive to leverage the twin levers of cutting-edge educational research and a technology-based solutions approach to revolutionize how children in the K-12 education space learn.

We are looking for a content creator, leader who shall lead a team of highly qualified educational specialists to create and deliver high-quality content and assessments for English across all of Ei’s products.

These roles requires strong academic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the content development for the English subject across all our products
  • Hiring, mentoring, and training the team, coaching, and guiding them on content & pedagogy, as well as on project and task management
  • Managing multiple projects using strong project management skills
  • Working collaboratively with other managers within and across different verticals on various projects to ensure smooth delivery of deliverables
  • Setting up processes and systems to ensure the high quality of content produced by the team
  • Researching learning & teaching methodologies through reading and sharing academic journals, analysing student performance data on questions, interacting with external subject experts, interacting with teachers and students for insights about students’ learning
  • Understanding analysis and reporting needs for our projects, producing high-quality output with a specific focus on the Science of Learning and building conceptual clarity
  • Conducting internal and external training to meet the learning needs and build capacity around pedagogy-related activities

Skills and Qualification

  • Graduate/postgraduate degree (a degree in English as one of the major subjects is preferred)
  • Excellent subject knowledge (English)
  • 0 -7 years of experience in education or content development
  • Project management with relevant experience in content development, managing multiple projects (for AM)
  • Proven ability to hire, train, and manage teams ensuring high-quality output is delivered on time. (for AM)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different teams
  • Operating style suited to working in a start-up, where teamwork and resourcefulness are highly valued
  • Technological skills (MS Excel, SQL) desirable
