Position Overview:

As the HR Director, you will play a critical role in building and managing our remote workforce, ensuring a positive employee experience, and fostering a culture of growth and development. Leveraging your extensive experience in the EDTECH industry in India, you will develop and implement HR strategies tailored to the unique needs of Educate-online.org. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional who has a deep understanding of the EDTECH landscape in India and a proven track record in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the goals and objectives of Educate-online.org in a remote work environment, with a specific focus on the EDTECH industry in India.
2. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify and attract top talent for various roles, ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment process that aligns with the specific requirements of the EDTECH sector.
3. Oversee onboarding and orientation programs for new hires, ensuring they have the necessary resources and information to succeed in a remote work environment within the EDTECH industry.
4. Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions, while adhering to legal and ethical standards specific to the Indian EDTECH industry.
5. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement learning and development initiatives that enhance employee skills and support career growth within the context of the EDTECH sector.
6. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations specific to the Indian EDTECH industry.
7. Maintain accurate employee records, handle confidential information with discretion, and generate HR reports as needed, taking into account the unique requirements of the EDTECH sector in India.
8. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements specific to the Indian EDTECH industry, ensuring compliance and recommending improvements to HR policies and practices.
9. Foster a positive work culture by organizing virtual team-building activities, employee recognition programs, and other initiatives that promote employee engagement and satisfaction within the context of the EDTECH industry.
10. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance evaluations, promotions, and employee feedback, with a deep understanding of the intricacies of the EDTECH landscape in India.

Qualifications:

1. Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certifications are a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar roles, within an EDTECH company in India.
3. Extensive knowledge of the Indian EDTECH industry, including its unique challenges, trends, and legal and regulatory requirements.
4. Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates specifically within the EDTECH sector in India.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels in the EDTECH industry.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work setting.
7. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-driven mindset within the context of the Indian EDTECH industry.
8. Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other HR tools/software
9. In-depth knowledge of best practices in employee engagement, performance management, and learning and development within the context of the Indian EDTECH industry.
10. Experience in implementing and managing remote work policies and practices, with a focus on fostering a productive and inclusive remote work culture.
11. Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism and integrity.
12. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate remote teams.
13. Proficiency in using collaboration and communication tools such as video conferencing platforms, project management systems, and instant messaging applications.
14. Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adjusting to changing priorities and requirements.
15. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR metrics and data to drive informed decisions and improvements.
