Job Brief: We are seeking an experiencedand passionate General Studies and Current Affairs Teacher to joinour institution. The ideal candidate will be responsible fordesigning and delivering engaging, comprehensive lessons on generalstudies and current affairs to students. The teacher willfacilitate a deep understanding of various subjects includinghistory, geography, politics, economics, and current events,fostering critical thinking and analytical skills amonglearners.

Responsibilities: 

1.Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a wide range ofgeneral studies and current affairs topics.
2. Createlesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments that align withthe curriculum objectives and educational standards.
3.Deliver engaging and informative lessons that promote criticalthinking, analysis, and application of knowledge in general studiesand current affairs.
4. Stay updated with the latestdevelopments in various fields, including global events, politics,economics, science, and technology, to incorporate relevant andcurrent information into teaching materials.
5. Encouragedebates, discussions, and interactive learning activities thatencourage students to express their opinions and viewpoints oncurrent events.
6. Assess and evaluate students’ progressthrough various methods, including exams, projects, presentations,and discussions, and provide constructive feedback to aid theirdevelopment.

SkillsRequired: 

– A bachelor’s degree inEducation, General Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field. Amaster’s degree is preferred.
– Proven experience inteaching general studies and current affairs, preferably in aschool or educational institution.
– Strong knowledge andunderstanding of a wide range of subjects including history,geography, politics, economics, and current events.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage andmotivate students effectively.
– Ability to adaptteaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles andabilities.
– Up-to-date with current events and theability to connect real-world examples to classroomlearning.
