Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counsellor to provide support and guidance to individuals facing various personal, emotional, or psychological challenges. As a Counsellor, you will utilize your counselling skills, empathy, and knowledge to assist clients in addressing their concerns and working towards personal growth and well-being.

Responsibilities:

Client Assessment: Conduct initial assessments to understand clients’ needs, concerns, and goals.

Individual Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to clients using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Crisis Intervention: Offer crisis intervention and support to clients in distress.

Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting achievable goals and objectives.

Group Counseling: Lead or facilitate group therapy sessions when applicable.

Client Records: Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Client Education: Educate clients about mental health issues, coping strategies, and self-care techniques.

Referrals: Make referrals to specialists or other healthcare professionals when necessary.

Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of counseling through ongoing professional development.

Ethical Standards: Adhere to ethical standards and codes of conduct as outlined by relevant professional organizations.

Documentation: Prepare reports and documentation as required for client progress, insurance claims, or legal purposes.

Communication: Collaborate and communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and psychiatrists, when applicable.

Cultural Competence: Show cultural sensitivity and competence in working with diverse clients and communities.

Qualifications:

Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

State licensure or certification as a professional counselor (requirements vary by location).

Strong communication and active listening skills.

Empathy, patience, and the ability to establish rapport with clients.

Knowledge of various counseling theories and therapeutic techniques.

Ethics and confidentiality compliance.

Crisis intervention skills.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Cultural competence and the ability to work with diverse populations.

Continuous commitment to professional development and education.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with specific counseling populations or issues (e.g., substance abuse, marriage and family therapy, trauma, etc.).

Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.

Proficiency in using counselling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to ₹20,000.00 per month
