Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum for students in IX-XII in alignment with CBSE educational standards and the school’s guidelines.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching methodologies to address diverse learning styles.
2. Lesson Planning and Delivery:
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging English lessons that cover literature, grammar, writing, and language skills.
- Utilize a range of resources, including technology, to enhance the learning experience.
3. Literature Analysis:
- Foster a love for literature by teaching classic and contemporary works.
- Conduct in-depth analysis and discussions on literary themes, characters, and Literary devises.
4. Writing Skills Development:
- Guide students in developing strong writing skills, including essay composition, creative writing, and analytical writing.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their writing abilities.
5. Grammar and Language Instruction:
- Teach grammar rules, language usage, and vocabulary to enhance students’ language proficiency.
- Incorporate interactive and practical exercises to reinforce language concepts.
6. Assessment and Evaluation:
- Design fair and effective assessments to measure students’ understanding of English concepts.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on assessments to facilitate student progress.
7. Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Effectively manage classroom dynamics and address behavioral issues with a student-centric approach.
8. Extracurricular Involvement:
- Participate in and support extracurricular activities related to English language and literature, such as literary clubs, debates, or drama productions.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in English or a related field.
- Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience.
- Strong command of the English language and a passion for literature.
- Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and educational technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Experience in handling Media reports / School magazines/ language activities.
- Expertise in co-curricular (debate declaration dramatics).
