Responsibilities:

– Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive geography lessons in line with the ICSE curriculum, ensuring that all relevant topics and concepts are covered.

– Develop and implement appropriate teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.

– Foster a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages active participation and engagement among students.

– Utilize various teaching resources, including textbooks, multimedia tools, and educational technology, to enhance the learning experience.

– Assess students’ progress regularly through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.

– Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, grades, and academic performance, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with institutional policies.

– Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary teaching approaches and promote cross-curricular learning opportunities.

– Participate in faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events to facilitate effective communication and promote a collaborative learning community.

– Stay updated with the latest developments in the field of geography education and integrate innovative teaching methodologies accordingly.

– Provide guidance and mentorship to students, assisting them in their academic and personal growth.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field.

– Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) qualification with a specialization in English and Social Sciences (SSTT).

– Proven experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level, preferably with the ICSE curriculum.

– Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal.

– Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, theories, and current trends.

– Ability to employ diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.

– Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

– Passion for teaching, a commitment to student development, and a desire to contribute to the overall growth of the institution.

Salary: ₹40,000.00 – ₹45,000.00 per month
