Job description:
Role PurposeThe candidate is required to contribute in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students of the following disciplines – Industrial design, Communication design, User Experience Design & Animation film makingA teacher shall act as an adviser, mentor and supervisor to groups and individual students.Key Responsibilities :Work with students who are studying or are taking classes to improve their knowledge or career skillsDevelop a curriculum for their course and ensure that it meets college and department standardsPlan lessons and assignmentsAssess students’ progress by grading tests & JuriesStay informed about changes and innovations in their respective design fields.Conduct research and experiments to advance knowledge in their fieldPublish original research and analysis in books and academic journalsServe on academic and administrative committees that review and recommend policies, make budget decisions, or advise on hiring and promotions within their departmentImpart knowledge to the students in an extensive way covering the required modules.Experience Required :Master degree, or higher (M. Des./ Post Graduate Diploma) with 10+ years of experience in a related discipline with a significant record of scholarly and creative work.Excellence in design may be demonstrated through a proven track record as an inspired teacher, practitioner, educator and/or researcher.Candidate should possess a strong background and advanced knowledge of contemporary professional practices in three or more of the following areas: Industrial design / Communication design / Animation & Video film design / User Experience Design / Product Development / Service Design / Universal Design / Toy & Game Design / Design Research / Design Strategy / Design for emerging technologies / Design History and theory.
