The PGT Chemistry is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Chemistry to students in secondary or higher secondary grades. This role involves creating lesson plans, conducting experiments, assessing student performance, and fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching Chemistry: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Chemistry to students.
2. Curriculum Development: Develop and update the Chemistry curriculum to align with educational standards and learning objectives.
3. Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
4. Laboratory Work: Supervise and conduct laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
5. Assessment: Design and administer assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student understanding and progress.
6. Student Engagement: Foster a passion for Chemistry among students through interactive teaching methods and demonstrations.
7. Individualized Support: Provide extra help and support to students who are struggling with the subject.
8. Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address concerns.
9. Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in Chemistry education and teaching methodologies.
10. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Qualifications:
1. A Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
2. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or teaching certification is preferred.
3. Relevant teaching experience, preferably at the secondary or higher secondary level.
4. Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts and principles.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
7. Proficiency in using educational technology and tools for teaching.
