The Dean-Academics, exercise general supervision over the arrangements for tuition, administration, day to day affairs, welfare and discipline in the LBEF Campus.

• KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  Overall the Dean-Academics is accountable for:

1. The academic health of the institution.
2. To deliver lectures at Bachelor’s and Master’s level. The teaching load for the Dean (Academics) will be 12-18 lectures/ week.
3. Monitoring, reporting on, and ensuring all personnel procedures are followed in a timely and appropriate manner in compliance with specifications.
4. Monitoring and ensuring all academic quality procedures related to modules are followed in a timely and appropriate manner in compliance with specification.
5. The day to day operations of the College particularly in relation to allocation of staff workloads, performance, development and recruitment requirements.
6. The success of a defined set of Programmes and modules.
7. Monitoring and ensuring all procedures related to academic quality of programmes are followed in a timely and appropriate manner in compliance with specification.
8. Undertaking appropriate academic delivery which is likely to include delivery to Masters students, to undergraduates on research and project methodology and supervision of Master and undergraduate projects/dissertations.
9. Ensuring that the LBEF rules, QA processes and government regulations are observed in relation to LBEF Campus.
10. The quality assurance and enhancement of the Computing and Management students.
11. To manage the effective deployment of all academic staff and to ensure they meet the standards expected of an academic staff member of LBEF Campus.
12. To plan, manage, conduct and monitor the implementation of a programme of periodic observations of delivery, staff appraisal and ensure Peer Observation is conducted in accordance with the requirements of LBEF.
13. To develop and maintain links with industry for the purposes of:
    student placement for internship
    student job placement
    guest lectures on LBEF programmes
    promoting corporate training programmes
    seeking industry advice and ensuring all Programmes meet the needs of employers.
14. To contribute to the effective implementation and monitoring of all Quality Assurance processes so as to safeguard appropriate academic standards and fairness for all students.
15. Support marketing and promotion team to conduct various seminars/marketing activities and deliver seminar as per their need.
16. Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the College Management Committee

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

Higher Education or Professional Qualification

Phd in Computing or Phd in Management with minimum of 2 years of experience in similar capacity.

Leadership Experience

Experience of leading and managing in the delivery of Computing education and of the staffing and other resource management required in support

High personal integrity and ethics

Have demonstrated throughout their career a commitment to the maintenance of integrity and ethical behaviour at all times
