Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Science Faculty role based in Bengaluru. The Data Science Faculty will design and deliver engaging lectures, lab sessions, and workshops on topics such as statistics, machine learning, Python for data science, data visualization, and related tools. The role involves creating structured curricula, lesson plans, assignments, and assessments that align with current industry requirements and placement goals. The faculty member will mentor learners on projects, guide them through real-world datasets and case studies, and provide feedback to improve their problem-solving and analytical skills. The role also includes collaborating with the academic team to update content, incorporate new technologies, and support continuous improvement of FACE Prep’s training programs.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in data science concepts, including statistics, probability, machine learning, and applied mathematics.
• Proficiency in programming for data science (e.g., Python, relevant libraries such as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Matplotlib/Seaborn).
• Experience with data handling and analysis tools (e.g., Jupyter Notebook, SQL, spreadsheets, basic data visualization platforms).
• Ability to design and deliver structured, learner-friendly content, including lectures, lab exercises, projects, and assessments.
• Clear, effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
• Prior teaching, training, mentoring, or corporate facilitation experience in data science or related fields is highly preferred.
• Up-to-date understanding of industry expectations for entry-level data and tech roles, especially in placement-focused environments.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Comfort working on-site in Bengaluru and collaborating with cross-functional academic and operations teams.
