In this multifaceted role, you will play a pivotal part in leading projects, instructing students at school and college levels, training educators, and occasionally traveling to outstation locations. We are seeking candidates who possessexceptional leadership qualities, a passion for teaching, and the ability to drive innovation in the education sector.About the Role:As a Senior Innovation & Tech Lead at Curiosity Gym, you will work collaboratively with educators to design and implement an innovative curriculum that integrates coding, robotics, engineering, and more into the daily learning experiences of students and teachers.Your role will be instrumental in fostering community, diversity, and excellence in education. Here, teachers are valued as key contributors, and we welcome your ideas and insights.Responsibilities:● Leadership and Education: Take a leadership role in teaching computer science, coding, electronics, and robotics to K12 and college students, as well as in teacher training programs.● Curriculum Development: Collaborate creatively with colleagues to create engaging instructional activities covering various coding languages and technologies.● Innovation and Design Thinking: Strategize and implement innovative pedagogical approaches, focusing on Innovation & Design Thinking to enhance student learning.● Prototype Development: Utilize your engineering/IT background to build industry-specific prototypes and products efficiently and cost-effectively.● Stay Current: Stay informed about trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design, and apply them effectivelyStudent Support: Support student showcases on annual school STEM/Science days and guide student entries in local and international competitions.● Classroom Culture: Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment that emphasizes positive relationships among students.● Assessment: Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.Qualifications:● Teaching Experience: A minimum of 7 years of experience in teaching and/or education.● Passion for Education: A strong passion for educating students and a genuine love for working with children.● Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills with a clear and precise style.● Design Thinking: Knowledge of Design thinking paradigms and experience using a methodology for building.● Creativity: Outstanding creative abilities with an understanding of how to engage students effectively.● Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Pygame, Blockly, Scratch, Javascript, C, C++, and more.● Web and Mobile Development: Familiarity with web app development (HTML, JavaScript, PHP) and mobile app development (MIT App Inventor, Kodular, Thunkable).● 3D Design: Familiarity with 3D design and CAD software packages (e.g., Onshape, Fusion360, TinkerCad) used for 3D printing.● Embedded Systems: Knowledge in programming Arduino-based embedded systems.● IoT: Hands-on experience with IoT, common embedded electronics boards, and cloud services for building real-world applications.● Additional Skills: Strong team handling skills and experience in training delivery.
