The position

The Duck creek Developer will have an in-depth expertise in the software design, development, and implementation API and AWS solutions. The candidate should have good skills in software development lifecycle, messaging patterns, endpoint security, interfaces with internal and external applications, and database knowledge. This includes implementing application specific solutions using API management and Integration software products; leading and teaching others through doing, knowledge sharing, mentoring and training; documenting guidelines, best practices and lessons learned; and, participating in architecture reviews and code inspection sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a highly available and modular framework to deliver full stack features in a reusable way using an advanced scalable platform.
• Deliver high-quality product-based customization constructs to implement these features.
• Collaboratively work with team members to adhere to software development best practices within the industry.
• Work on scaled agile development teams to understand business needs and transform complex requirements into innovative solutions.
• Communicate within a sprint team as well as cross-team for any proposed design or solution while concurrently addressing technical issues and risks in a collaborative manner.
• Oversee technical deliverables for projects through software development life cycle, including validating the completeness of estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, build and implementation under direct senior super vision.

What are we looking for?

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Property & Casualty IT experience strongly preferred
• 8 years or more of experience using Duck Creek’s toolset Express, Server, Author, Transact, Forms, User Admin, XSLT Transformation, XML, HTML5, SQL
• Experience in Duck Creek.v5.x,v6.x and beyond
• Proficient in one of the following languages: C#, Java, Visual Basic.NET, JavaScript, or other mainstream object-oriented languages
• Experience working directly with technical, business stakeholders/leadership in formulating technical requirements to solve business problems
• Energetic and engaging self-starters possessing strong analytical, communication, organizational and technology skills
• Will abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with C&F’s risk management controls.
• Any experience related to Cloud Computing or Amazon Web Services
• Duck Creek Anywhere API, Message Hub
• Duck Creek Insights: Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Microsoft SSRS
