You will lead vibrant, culturally-relevant writing workshops for teens ages 11-15 years old

We’ll provide the topics; you’ll customize them to the interests and passions of your writing cohort, inspiring them to write great content.

gt.school is revolutionizing writing education

Students in traditional schools write about topics they don’t care about, in formats that don’t translate to today’s audiences

We’re teaching students to write in digital-native formats (e.g., website, blog, social media) on topics that matter to them

Feedback focuses on substance and we utilize apps to improve grammar and syntax.

What You Will Be Doing

• Using a proven writing curriculum, adapting it for gifted & talented (GT) high school students, and catering the content to their interests
• Leading live Zoom workshops that are engaging to students and promote peer review
• Providing coaching and feedback on students’ writing that encourages skill development via non-academic assignments

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Creating a curriculum from scratch

  You will adapt an existing curriculum to high school students.

• Teaching students about grammar and things that they find boring
• Traveling for meetings or training

  We are a 100% remote team.

• Cultivate a love for writing
• Facilitate high-quality, high-energy, and interactive Zoom workshops

Basic Requirements

• Compelling and energetic speaker who can hold the attention of a virtual audience
• Knowledgeable about the interests and culture of North American teens
• Passionate about non-academic writing and view it as a way to build a brand, develop a network, and open doors for life

Working with Crossover

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position

The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover

The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year

The payment period is weekly
