The Cordia Group of Education Institutes in Sanghol (Punjab) is looking for Senior Accountant for it’s Education Campus at Sanghol.

The Campus is located at Sanghol, Punjab about 40 kms from Chandigarh. It’s state of the art 25 Acre Educational Facility housing 4 colleges and a Higher Secondary School. About 1300 students study higher education in Arts & Humanities, Business, IT, Hotel Management and Teacher Training programs. Set in the Campus is also a Higher Secondary School.

Position – Principal for Education College, Principal for Business Management College and Principal for Composite College.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Development and monitoring of the college budget to ensure that the college continues to achieve its mission, objectives and management goals.

2. Responsible for institutional growth/incremental growth of the college in terms of students enrolment, collaboration with other institutions/ Achievement in sports and in cultural activities at district: state level/ national level

3. Admissions: planning and implementation as per the guidelines of university

4. Affiliations / Accreditation of Department concerned.

5. Representing the college in university/ other colleges/ diff places in society / attending meetings.

6. Planning of Academic calendar in the beginning and implementation.

7. Development and implementation of strategies which will result in optimum enrolments in the courses of Cordia Group of Educational Institutes.

8. Guiding the overall admissions efforts to ensure achievement of enrollment goals.

9. Ensures compliance with university policies, procedures, practices and philosophies.

10. Seeking grants/ seminar proposals/ appropriate functioning of various units including NSS/NCC/any other

11. Maintenance of college website as per the guidelines issued by the university

12. Guides and monitors all aspects of academics to ensure that quality educational opportunities are provided to students.

13. Placement efforts to ensure that student/graduates are obtaining positions related to their career objectives and field of study.

14. Monitoring and participation in all departmental activities to ensure that all incumbents of all positions are working within the policy framework of the Cordia Group and follow procedures and norms laid down by the university and its statutory bodies.

15. Provides routine/timely operational reports to appropriate university and other statutory bodies like UGC/AICTE/NACC/ MHRD and other institutions of importance.

16. Performs other duties as assigned by the Management of Cordia Group.

17. Ensure the maintenance and security of all assets entrusted to him.

18. Any other responsibility assigned by the Management for development and to bring excellence in the Cordia Group of Educational Institutes.

Minimum Qualifications: The Principal must satisfy the following minimum qualifications:

1. Ph.D. degree

2. Experience of 10+ years in a similar role

Skills and Attributes: The Principal must possess the following skills and attributes: proven At least 8 years full-time-equivalent leadership experience; management and supervisory ability to manage, direct, control, implement and monitor all aspects of Institutional operations. The following core competencies are required to effectively fulfill the requirements of this role:

a. Ability to lead the Cordia Group of Educational Institutes staff in a cordial and harmonious manner.

b. Effective team building skills

c. Ability to get the things done(i.e. skills and abilities required to communicate , negotiation the persuasion, resolution of conflict, appropriate use of authority and power)
