Job Description And Duties Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for College Professors for the fall semester as outlined below (subject to minimum enrolment). Salary will be in accordance with the CUPE Instructor Scale: (range: $5,775.84 – $9,255.50 per section).

Duties: The College Professors are responsible for contributing to the academic success of students. This includes course preparation, teaching and guiding students, providing feedback, correction, encouragement, and direction in the following courses:
Fall Semester (September – December)
- BIOL 101: Introductory Biology I – Cells, Diversity, & Physiology (1 section)
- BIOL 191: Introduction to Ecology (1 section)
- CHEM 111: Fundamentals of Chemistry I (2.3 sections)
- CPSC 111: Introduction to Computer Science (2 sections)
- GEOG 160: Physical Geography II – Geology, Meteorology, and Climatology (2 sections)
- MATH 131: Introduction to Statistics (1 section)
- POLI 101: Introduction to Political Science (1 section)
- POLI 203: International Politics (1 section)
- WMST 101: History of Women in Canada (1 section)
NOTE: Candidates are asked to identify which courses they are interested in teaching.
Qualifications
A minimum of both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline along with teaching experience at the post-secondary level. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate experience with experiential teaching formats.

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
