Chitkara University is looking for Dean- Academics, for it’s Punjab Campus. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly strategic, collaborative, and motivational leader to

influence a generation of learners at an important juncture in terms of strategic workforce

development in our region, and around the world.

The position of the Dean- Academics will serve as a key member of the leadership team and will support academic excellence and promote originality and innovation in teaching and scholarship,

thereby continuing to differentiate the School in an ever-changing and highly competitive postsecondary landscape.

Experience and Skills-

• Minimum of 5 years in leadership and/or management experience
• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to teaching excellence and quality education preferably within an applied post secondary environment
• Experience within Business, and/or International studies setting would be a definite asset
• Experience in the provision of academic and instructional leadership to faculty and staff
• Demonstrated understanding of student engagement for the purpose of achieving student success
• Demonstrated understanding of the value and practice of applied research
• A comfort level speaking with external groups internationally and with individuals and the ability to engage partners and other relevant organizations to enhance university operations
• Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and the proven ability to build rapport and support from a wide variety of stakeholders internationally.
• Must have problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills as well as proven ability to build effective and respectful working relationships allow you to effectively engage, inspire and empower others

Education-

Ph.D. Degree with global exposure.
