Education Counselor

Prospect leads, understand the prospective students , educational background and career goals, finalize applications, provide excellent counseling services to students. The position will also be involved in events, exhibitions and promotions of Chalo Overseas and its affiliates/ clients.

Guide students on standardized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT, and GRE, possible financial aid, and on student visa and travel to the Canada and other Countries

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-depth information to student’s in-person, via e-mail, telephone and internet tools through one-on-one, group advising sessions and webinars and submit applications to institutions, obtain offers and facilitate enrolments.

• Provide information and advice to international students and their families regarding study opportunities in Canada and other countries in English and other languages as applicable about all aspects of the Canada and other countries college/university admission, financial aid, tests and visa process.

• Screen IELTS customers and Student Service customers to identify opportunities for cross servicing and action applicable cases to increase uptake of both services.

• Assist admissions team with application submission to schools
• Support Chalo Overseas network students with on-arrival issues and/or on-shore Chalo

Overseas services.

• Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in every interaction with students and their families, clients and colleagues.

• Follow up leads and enquiries and maximize the number of applications submitted and finalized.

• Prepare reports and presentations and develop counseling material on various countries’ education, as required and Counsel prospective students to identify appropriate study options including suitable courses and institutions.

• Deliver consistently outstanding service to ensure a high number of students are converted to the next stage of the student pipeline, ultimately submitting applications to education institutions and accepting the resulting offers.

• CRM system is used to support the end to end counseling process including the capture and follow up of all leads and opportunities to close sales.

• Provide accurate, efficient and quality service that exceeds customer’s expectation
• Maintain a high degree of response towards customers confidentially Client satisfaction
• Should also advise the business units and other relevant departments in case of any changes in existing processes for obtaining relevant Visa.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience and education to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent.
• Must have knowledge of overseas college and university systems and programs; specifically Canada Higher educational system.

• Experience of working in a sales driven environment with a strong focus on achieving individual and team based targets.

• Knowledge of education institutions, admission processes, immigration requirements and their international operations.

• Outstanding communication skills and able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders with varying needs and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, educational institutions, and others as needed.

• Excellent planning and organizing skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

• Customer focussed, with a passion for providing outstanding service.
• Highly effective relationship building and relationship management skills.
• Effective team worker, supporting colleagues and contributing positively to overall team’s success.

• Ability to proactively identify, analyze and solve problems effectively.
• Sound judgement and the ability to make decisions and act with integrity, in the best interests of IDP.

• Strong IT skills – Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems.
• Work and / or study experience in a relevant destination country.

2-4 LPA and more on experience

Salary: ₹15,000.00 – ₹29,122.55 per month
