The Candidate: We are looking for a candidate as COMMUNICATION DESIGNER in our Center for Career and Life Design Counselling. He / She should have the expertise to design marketing materials using words, images and videos to convey messages and ideas across multiple media platforms. It is also necessary to have working knowledge on the latest design software and technologies.

About the Center: “Center for Career and Life Design Counselling” has been founded in Kolkata (near Avishikta Housing Phase 1 on EM Bypass) with a mission to assist and empower individual, across all ages and socioeconomic background, to explore life and career opportunities in order to build a well-lived, joyful life. The Center is headed by an eminent former professor of IIM Calcutta, IIT Kharagpur and IIT Bombay. He is supported by a team of experts across academia and industry, with rich experiences in various subject areas, and having varied life-experiences across the globe.

Nature of job: Part-time (21 hours per week [3 days a week or 6 half-day a week: Physical mode (not “work-from-home”)])

Academic Qualification: Diploma/ Bachelor/ Master’s degree in any design stream dealing with design and development of multimedia communication, media design, digital media or related fields

Skills:

(i) Ability to learn new tools and do self-guided work

(ii) A strong understanding in designing and developing various digital communications;

(iii) Ardent user of social media and other digital channels;

(iv) Exquisite communication skills (both written and oral) in Bengali and English;

(v) Excellent knowledge of MS Office and important online tools and applications e.g. graphics software, video editing tools, etc.

Experience and salary: At least 2 years of experience in Graphic Design, Media Communications or related area; The salary would commensurate with the qualification and experience of the candidate.

Duties and responsibilities:

· conceptualizing and designing market communications using a mix of text, graphics, audio-visuals.

· Prepare marketing materials (brochures, posters, banners, press releases, video etc) to augment our presence in the market

· Assist in organizing promotional events and traditional / digital campaigns

· Prepare and deliver promotional presentations

· Compose and post digital content on our website and social media accounts

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 21 per week

Salary: ₹10,000.00 – ₹15,000.00 per month
