Role & responsibilities

Math Teacher Responsibilities:

Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes. Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons. Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning. Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner.

Math teachers have many responsibilities, including:

Planning and teaching Math teachers plan and deliver lessons that are engaging and developmentally appropriate for their students. They also ensure that lessons meet the curriculum standards.

Assessing Math teachers assess students’ performance by grading assignments, quizzes, tests, and homework.

Providing feedback Math teachers provide ongoing feedback to students about their progress. Connecting math to the real world Math teachers help students connect the math they are learning to the real world.

Enforcing rules Math teachers collaborate with school administration to enforce rules of behavior, class participation, and conduct.

Adapting instruction Math teachers adapt their teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of different learning styles and abilities.

Staying current Math teachers keep up with changes and developments to the national teaching curriculum.

Safeguarding Math teachers are responsible for the welfare of the children and young people they are responsible for.

Math Teacher Requirements:

• MSc Mathematics (specialization in mathematics), or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Math Teacher.
• A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, flexible disposition. Outstanding interpersonal skills
