Responsibilities:
• Provide personalized academic guidance to students, assisting them in setting and achieving educational and career goals.
• Conduct one-on-one advising sessions, addressing students’ academic progress, course selection, and career aspirations.
• Assist in the development of academic plans and pathways, ensuring alignment with students’ individual strengths, interests, and long-term objectives.
• Interpret and communicate academic policies, procedures, and requirements to students, ensuring a clear understanding of expectations.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address academic challenges and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Monitor students’ academic performance, identifying trends and proactively intervening to support those at risk.
• Organize and conduct workshops and seminars on academic success strategies, study skills, and career development.
• Stay informed about educational trends, program changes, and career opportunities, providing timely and relevant information to students.
Requirements:
• Possess a Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• Demonstrate 2 years of experience as an Academic Advisor or in a similar role within an educational institution.
• Strong understanding of academic policies, procedures, and curriculum requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective advising and collaboration.
• Familiarity with student information systems and advising tools, showcasing adaptability to technology in advising practices.
• Knowledge of career development and educational trends.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse academic environment.
