About the role

We are looking for Career Counsellors who are extremely passionate about guiding high school students on their path to college and helping them identify the right courses & colleges. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong knowledge of the admission process and strong communication skills in speaking with students and parents.

What you will do –

• Work with students one-on-one and through a series of assessments and detailed analysis of a student’s profile, understand their interests, goals, and career aspirations, and match students to their ideal programs and colleges.
• Guide students and their families on the college process with discernment and empathy in choosing the right college from the multiple opportunities.
• Research, shortlist and recommend a choice of programs, schools or universities based on the students profile and unique considerations.
• Make students aware of the application forms and help students create competitive college application profiles to achieve their college admissions goals.
• Evaluate and advise middle schoolers and senior graders on their academic or vocational path, on courses and exams to be taken in the preparation of studying overseas.
• Declutter the student’s minds and make them aware of themselves and the best-suited career for them.

What we are looking for:

• The role requires at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Masters’s would be preferred.
• Counseling experience in a college or university admissions office or as a high school college guidance would be a plus.
• Certification as a Career Counsellor will be a big plus
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, other employees, and others as needed
• Must have a passion and desire to help students in getting into their dream universities.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on detail
• Strong analytical skills including data gathering, analysis, assessment and evaluation, and evidence-based planning.
