CARE India aims to accomplish this goal by working with 50 million people to help them have quality health, education, livelihoods and overcome the effects of disasters.

Project implementation responsibilities

• Lead context mapping study at intervention areas to record needs and challenges of the population residing in the intervention areas.
• Identify potential beneficiaries/girls from the intervention areas and support in enrolling them at the learning centres
• Establish community learning centers with all provisioning and ensure regular upkeep and its utilization
• Support community education coordinators in conducting community mobilization activities for ensuring that the girls enrolled at the learning centres are able to attend classes regularly
• Support education coordinators in organizing community connect events and exposure visits for girls
• Support project team in conducting regular workshops around Socio-emotional wellbeing, career planning, and entrepreneurship skills at community learning centres

Conduct Capacity building of Education coordinators

• Provide support to project associates in developing innovative and appropriate content, tools, methods for building capacities of Education coordinators
• Identify the capacity building needs of the education coordinators and report these periodically to the project team
• Conduct regular capacity building sessions with education coordinators to strengthen their capacity around specific thematic and as suggested by Project associate
• Provide periodic onsite support and guidance to education coordinators
• Identify and support education coordinator on gender and diversity issues

Field Monitoring and Evaluation

• Conduct regular visits to community learning centres to maintain record of all activities conducted
• Ensure community learning centres are adherent to CARE’s safety and child protection protocols
• Support project team in collection of data as per Project Monitoring framework
• Facilitate regular collection and compilation and ensure maintenance and updating of project MIS
• Assist in developing, testing, and administering assessments for children/gilrs
• Organise weekly planning meeting of community educators as advised by project associate

Project Documentation and Learning

• Support Education coordinators in compiling relevant statistical data and reports as per the need of the project
• Support in documenting the learnings from the project in form of reports, blogs, and articles in consultation with the project team
• Support in packaging and disseminating project learning for various internal and external audience
• Facilitate process- and photo-documentation of project activities and make this resource available to the Project Manager and CIHQ for reporting, communication and dissemination

Others:

• Participate in program review and donor meeting
• Participate in capacity building program
• Adhere to organization policy (gender, child policy, etc) and procurement requirements
• Support in any other organization work as decided by Program Manager

Essential

• Graduate in any subject

Preferred

• Two years of experience, especially working in Slum area of Mumbai
• Ability to use computer and other IT tool for presentation and report writing
