Essential Qualification
- Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known);
- Must have passed the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
Age Limit
- Candidates should be between 21 to 45 years of age.

- Level 10 (20600 – 65500)

- The applicants shall submit their application correctly, enclosing the requisite documents and necessary information. If the information is found to be incorrect at any stage, the application will be cancelled. If the application submitted by the applicant found to be incomplete, ineligible and does not contain the documents pertaining to essential qualification, the application will be cancelled and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
- Appearance in the examination and/or Skill Test (wherever applicable) will not confirm any right of selection or appointment. The final selection and appointment is based on his/her position in merit list and subject to the verification of all original documents. The decision of the Chief Executive Officer, Cantonment Board St. Thomas Mount cum Pallavaram will be the final and binding on the candidates.

The Cantonment Board St.Thomas Mount cum Pallavaram established in the year 1774, is the second oldest Cantonment in the country. It is located 18kms away from the Central Railway Station. The total area of Cantonment is 2892.82 acres. It is basically divided into three locations namely St.Thomas Mount, Meenambakkam and Pallavaram.
