We are looking for a Special Educator for our Therapy Center Named – Pupa located in Kolapakkam (Near Porur), Chennai.

Requirements

· B.Ed or Equivalent Certificate in Special Education

· Certificate in Child psychology will be an added advantage

· Minimum 2 year of experience

· Patient and calm personality

· Child caring

Mandatory Skills Required:

• Work with students having Special Education Needs
• Conduct classroom observations and informal assessments for referred cases
• Prepare worksheets and teaching aids for achieving remedial goals
• Provide intervention for academic as well as need-based counselling for referred cases.
• Guide Visiting Professionals (shadow-teacher) on a regular basis to ensure positive and continuous development in the child
• Provide feedback to parents about DTLD test results and recommend appropriate plan of action
• Conduct various workshops for students, parents and school staff

· Special Education – Learning Disabilities -Observational assessment

· Improving children in their sitting tolerance by giving activities. Attend and participate in team meetings and staff meetings

· Improving waiting skills and using ABA techniques

· Slowing down the activity of the children who are hyperactive kids

· Usage of reinforcements depending on the kids.
