The School Coordinator provides exemplary leadership in all aspects of school life and is responsible for the consistent application of school policies and procedures thereby is the person most directly responsible for establishing and maintaining a climate that encourages students to develop their complete academic and social potential, and for teachers to reach the highest possible professional standards.Area(s) of Responsibility:Academic ProgramsMeet regularly with teachers to review developments related to students learning programmes.Ensure that collaborative academic planning occurs on a regular basis.Ensure that assessment activities are consistent with CBSE requirements and expectations and that the students progress is reported to parents in an effective manner.Curriculum design participation and implementation.Lesson Planning Support and ensuring its implementationAllocate teachers to classes prior to the commencement of the academic year in consultation with the Principal.Preparation of the school bell timing, period allotment, timetable & substitution across the grades in consultation with the Principal.Ensure Resource Coordination.Encourage and ensure ICT enforcement.Ensure Lab/Library Coordination.Ensure PTM planning and execution.Planning and execution of Day boarding/Extracurricular activities of the organization and being accountable for the other related assignments.Academic budget oversightDevelop the annual professional development budget and plan in consultation with the Principal for the running of the school.Ensure timely collection of data for annual budgets in collaboration with the class/group/subject co-ordinators, and subject and classroom teachers.Oversight of counselling activitiesHandle complaints and escalations in regards to students (via Head-School Development) and in coordination with Section Representatives.Report regularly to the Principal and other members of the Senior Team about important matters pertaining to the relevant section of the school – students and teachers.Performance managementSupport and monitor the work of Section Representatives, Teachers, Librarians, Lab assistants, CCA and special teachers.Regularly observe teachers for behaviour enhancement in the classroom, on supervision duty and during CCA activities.Resolve any matter of unacceptable or sub-standard professional practice in an effective and decisive manner.Regularly communicate expectations about professional conduct to faculty both individually and at meetings.Maintain staff coordination and motivation.The SC shall submit reports on the affairs of the school to the Principal and the Directors every month/quarter or as and when called for by the Directors, and generally keep the Principal and the Board informed of all developments relevant or material to the Schools affairs as are within the scope of the SC’s duties and responsibilities.Professional DevelopmentOrganise regular professional development activities within the school to ensure that teachers understand and meet CBSE standards.Give provisional approval to teachers to attend professional development activities inside/outside the school with due consultation with the Principal.Assist the Principal and Board in the appointment of teachers and other academic staff as required.Assist the Principal in overseeing the design and conduct of professional development activities that support teachers.Manage training – individual and common training.Policies and proceduresAssist the principal in overseeing the implementation and regular review of school policies and procedures.Review school policies and academic procedures regularly in conjunction with the principal and other Senior Management Members.Communication with the school communityDevelop and oversee effective communication links with the parent body with respect to relevant school matters.Implement the School’s guidelines for the compilation, editing and publishing of school materials.Hold regular assemblies and eventsPlan and conduct cultural festivals/events.Plan and conduct field trip planning and execution.Promotion of the school to the wider communityAssisting in presenting the school to the community in the best possible lightRequirementsEducation – B.Com/M.Com/B.Sc/M.Sc/B.Tech/M.Tech/B.A./M.A. + B.Ed/M.EdSkills -Communication skillsInterpersonal skillsOrganisational skillsMotivational skillsRequirementsSkills – Communication skills Interpersonal skills Organisational skills Motivational skills
