Job Scope:Belden is looking for a highly skilled Senior Architect to drive the implementation, architecture and design of the next-generation intelligent cloud and edge platform software across its diverse portfolio of multi-branded multi-vertical solutions. We’re focused on the Industrial Internet of Things and Edge application space.

The Senior Architect will be a collaborator and a thought leader for a team of dedicated engineers, as well as working with and across various other engineering teams at Belden that are building advanced integrated solutions. This presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to work on the leading edge platform in a successful global business to achieve superior velocity, value, and scalability. The successful candidate will be hands on and curious with a focus on technology and business value.

Our ideal candidate is eager to grow technically and in scope by leveraging experiences and taking some risks in new areas. If you’re a director or senior manager that wants to be more technical than managerial, this could also be a great fit. You will make an impact in the following way:Define the infrastructure and the software architecture for multiple platforms including switches, firewalls, routers and edge processing products

Center. Experience using Kubernetes, Docker, or Rancher for microservices deployment. Experience with IaC using Ansible or TerraformExperience building CI/CD pipelines.

Devops and Devsecops, version control, and system testing with Gitlab and Jenkins. Experience gaining insight from log files with Datadog, ElasticSearch, Prometheus, and Grafana. Experience implementing systems tracing with Jaeger and Opentracing.

Familiarity with protocol level tracing with Wireshark. Production experience with distributed datastore using zookeeper, cassandra, postgres, kafka, redis, and ElasticSearchExperienced with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python and GoFamiliar with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure2 or more years building public API’s and ability to design and implement RESTful APIsWillingness to learn and teach complex technologies
