The Data Protection Group drives the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering delivery of the Veritas products, which includes NetBackup, APTARE,  Backup Exec, Enterprise Vault (EV), EV.cloud, eDiscovery platform, and Veritas SaaS Backup.

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for software applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software testing principles and practices, as well as experience with automation tools and cloud computing platforms. They will also have knowledge of SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS models, and hands-on experience using cloud databases in Azure, AWS, and GCP

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests for SaaS/PaaS/IaaS applications.
• Automate Test Cases and E2E Solution Scenarios using Python, Java and other Programing Language
• Work with development teams to identify and prioritize test cases
• Analyze test results and report on test coverage and defects.
• Stay up to date on the latest software testing trends and technologies
• Manage AWS, Azure, GCP infrastructure.
• Mentor and train junior QA engineers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on automation
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and practices
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, and Cucumber
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
