Job Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Pluralsight, you’ll deliver core functionality, that help our customers learn to cloud! You’ll mentor other specialists in Engineering practices, design and build high quality systems and services and contribute to architectural and technology decisions that directly affect the experience of other engineers in the cloud Teams.

Experience you’ll need:

• 6+ years of software development.
• Strong Experience with Data Modelling
• Experience working in full-stack development using NodeJS, Lambda and AWS technologies.
• Experience with remote collection of data – Desired
• Experience in serverless deployments and good DevOps practices in AWS
• A strong background in engineering practices, such as Agile, TDD, pair programming and CI/CD processes.
• Experience mentoring other team members in engineering practices and Agile delivery

What you’ll own:

• Consistently write well tested, readable, secure, and accessible code.
• Design and build high quality distributed systems in cloud.
• Contribute to architectural and technology decisions for the team and guilds.
• Effectively use written, verbal and visual communication to facilitate technical discussion and share ideas
• Help to define and coach engineering best practices in the team, fostering a culture of quality, pair programming, clean coding and test driven development.
• Actively pair-program with team members.
• Develop and support build pipelines.
• Support your team’s systems in production, participating in an on-call rotation.

Using the latest tech, we design the tools to teach people cloud faster and better. The team is dedicated and we’re all in it together. We’ve built a product using cloud-first Serverless Architecture with tools like Lambda, API Gateway, GraphQL and ReactJS.
