Nagar, Chennai, is seeking an experienced Economics cum Social Studies teacher who can deliver effective, dynamic, and inspiring education, enabling each student to realize their full potential. The chosen candidate will develop captivating lesson plans and curricula, foster collaboration among colleagues, evaluate student progress, and address performance-related issues.

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing a comprehensive economic and social studies curriculum: Delivering lectures, conducting discussions, and engaging students in interactive activities to teach fundamental economics concepts.

Lesson Planning: Planning and organizing daily lesson plans, including selecting appropriate teaching materials, textbooks, and supplementary resources to enhance student’s understanding and learning outcomes.

Assessments and Grading: Creating and administering tests, quizzes, and examinations to assess students’ knowledge and understanding of subject concepts. Grading assignments and providing timely feedback to students on their performance.

Student Evaluation: Evaluating students’ progress, identifying areas of improvement, and providing additional support or guidance to students who are struggling with the subject matter.

Classroom Management: Maintaining a conducive learning environment by managing student behavior, addressing disciplinary issues, and fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Professional Development: Engaging in continuous professional development activities, such as attending workshops, conferences, or seminars to stay updated with the latest developments in the field and incorporating innovative teaching methodologies into the classroom.

Parent Communication: Regularly communicate with parents or guardians to discuss students’ progress, address concerns, and provide updates on classroom activities or upcoming assessments.

Administrative Duties: Fulfilling administrative responsibilities, such as record-keeping, maintaining attendance registers, preparing progress reports, and participating in faculty meetings or school/committees.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and B.ed is a mandate
• A relevant teaching experience in High school for a minimum of 3 years
• Practical experience with MS Office, Google Classroom, and other software.
• Dedication, patience, and the ability to remain calm in tense situations.
• A passion for science and a commitment to continuing education.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹15,000.00 – ₹20,000.00 per month
