Role: Curriculum Designer

  • Spoken Languages – English (Mandatory)
  • Work days – 6 days a week, hours 9 AM – 6 PM
  • Should be able to travel to different premises within the city to audit or execute designed curriculum

Responsibilities:

As a play curriculum designer, your roles and responsibilities typically include:

1.⁠ ⁠Understanding Child Development: Designing play-based activities with LEGO blocks that align with the developmental stages of the target age group.

2.⁠ ⁠Creating Engaging Activities: Developing activities using LEGO blocks that are both fun and educational, fostering children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. Activities should maintain the flow from Simple, Medium, and Complete

3.⁠ ⁠Curriculum Planning: Designing a comprehensive curriculum that integrates various types of play (e.g., imaginative, constructive, cooperative) and ensures a balance of learning experiences.

4.⁠ ⁠Assessment and Evaluation: Establishing methods to assess children’s progress and evaluating the effectiveness of the play curriculum in meeting educational objectives.

5.⁠ ⁠Collaboration: Collaborating with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to gather input, share resources, and ensure alignment with educational goals.

6.⁠ ⁠Professional Development: Staying informed about current research and best practices in early childhood education and continuously refining the play curriculum based on new insights.

7.⁠ ⁠Adaptability: Being flexible and willing to adjust the curriculum based on the needs and interests of the children, as well as any changes in educational standards or policies.

8.⁠ ⁠Communication: Effectively communicating the goals, rationale, and implementation strategies of the play curriculum to stakeholders, including educators, parents, and administrators.

9.⁠ ⁠Advocacy: Advocating for the importance of play in early childhood education and promoting awareness of its benefits for children’s overall development.

10.⁠ ⁠Documentation: Keeping detailed records of the play curriculum, including activity plans, assessments, and reflections, to inform future iterations and share insights with colleagues.

These responsibilities require a blend of creativity, educational expertise, and a deep understanding of children’s needs and abilities. Preferred knowledge and experience of playing with LEGO blocks.
