Should know efficient OR scheduling
To be friendly with the fellow staff nurses
Efficient utilization of the department
Should be able to coordinate with anesthetist and surgeons for OR requirements
Should take care of stock ,consignment and vendor management
Overall inventory management with OT Nurse supervisor
Should coordinate with maintenance regarding temperature, humidity and air changes as per defined norms
Ensure compliance of infection control protocol
To maintain incidence report and sentinel events
To ensure all preventive maintenance schedules are carried out as per the schedule and all equipment are functioning
Timely escalation of equipment breakdown, sterility issues, delays in procedures and non availility of items
Timey procurement of instruments, equipment and consumables
Ensure error free billing
To look for compliance to OT policies, procedures and safety checks
Track quality indicators and advise the superior accordingly
Help during surgical procedures under the direction of Anaesthetist and Surgeons
Case scheduling, coordination and doctor management
Coordinate with various departments for equipment
Responsible for MIS
Team work
Liaison with other departments and vendors for efficient running of the department
Ensure proper documentation and record keeping
Participate in the REDS activity organized by the unit HR
Involve in performance appraisal process as per the schedule
