Position: Associate Professor – Computer Science (Full-Time)
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
About the Role
Amity University Kolkata invites applications from highly qualified, research-driven, and dynamic academicians for the position of Associate Professor in Computer Science. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, academic leadership, curriculum development, student mentoring, and contributing to the growth of the Computer Science and Engineering discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses in Computer Science and related disciplines.
- Develop and update course curriculum in line with industry trends and academic standards.
- Deliver courses in areas such as:
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Data Science & Analytics
- Cybersecurity
- Cloud Computing
- Software Engineering
- Database Management Systems
- Computer Networks
- Operating Systems
- Full Stack Development
- Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputed Scopus/SCI/ESCI-indexed journals.
- Supervise B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. students in research projects and dissertations.
- Secure funded research projects and establish collaborations with industry and academic institutions.
- Participate in accreditation, ranking, curriculum design, and quality assurance activities.
- Contribute to departmental administration, faculty development initiatives, and student engagement activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Consistently strong academic record throughout Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral studies.
- Minimum 12 years of teaching, research, or industry experience, with significant experience in higher education.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed, indexed journals and reputed conferences.
- Experience in guiding postgraduate and doctoral research scholars.
- Demonstrated ability to attract research funding and lead research projects.
