Role Description The Associate Professor in Banking and Finance will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops at the postgraduate level in banking, finance, and related areas. This full-time, on-site role based in Pune Division includes designing and updating course curricula, supervising dissertations and student projects, and mentoring learners in academic and professional development. The role involves conducting high-impact research leading to Scopus-indexed publications, contributing to funded research projects, and presenting work at academic and industry forums. The Associate Professor will participate in academic administration, accreditation activities, committee work, and industry outreach, including collaborations with banks, financial institutions, and international partner universities. The position also requires active engagement in curriculum innovation, executive education, and institutional development aligned with SSBF’s vision.
Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Banking, Finance, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university (mandatory).
• Strong record of high-quality Scopus-indexed publications in relevant areas of banking and finance (mandatory).
• Demonstrated expertise in Finance and Financial Services, with the ability to teach advanced courses such as corporate finance, risk management, portfolio management, and banking operations.
• Proven Analytical Skills, including quantitative analysis, data interpretation, and use of relevant financial and statistical tools.
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service orientation, with the ability to engage diverse learners, collaborate with colleagues, and interact effectively with industry stakeholders.
• Prior teaching experience at the postgraduate level, preferably in management, banking, or finance programs.
• Experience guiding student projects, research, and dissertations; ability to mentor students for industry readiness.
• Familiarity with contemporary banking regulations, financial markets, fintech trends, and the broader BFSI ecosystem.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum design, accreditation processes, and academic quality assurance.
• Willingness to engage in institutional development, outreach, and international collaborations.
