Position Overview
Dayananda Sagar University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Finance within the School of Commerce and Management Studies. This role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching, research, and student mentorship in finance-related subjects for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The position requires fostering innovative learning and contributing to the university’s academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and conduct tutorials in core finance areas such as Financial Management, Equity Markets, Derivatives, Business Valuation, Fintech, and Mergers & Acquisitions.
- Develop and update curriculum, design innovative teaching materials, and assess student performance effectively.
- Mentor students, guide research projects, and participate in academic committees and university events.
- Publish scholarly papers in reputed journals (e.g., ABDC/WoS/Scopus) and engage in consultancy or industry interactions.
- Organize webinars, workshops, and management development programs (MDPs).
Qualifications and Experience
Education
Ph.D. in Finance or related field; First-class Master’s (MBA/PGDM equivalent, AIU/AICTE/UGC accredited). Good academic record throughout.
Skills
Strong communication; research track record (minimum 5 publications); proficiency in instructional design and student engagement.
Desirable Attributes
Passion for teaching, ability to integrate emerging topics like Blockchain and Behavioral Finance, and commitment to professional development. Residential facilities may be available for select candidates.
