Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Fashion Designing for an on-site role based in Jalandhar. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, developing and delivering course material, and mentoring students. Responsibilities include staying updated with industry trends, supervising student projects, participating in curriculum development, and contributing to research and publications that advance the field of fashion design. Collaborating with faculty on academic initiatives and maintaining a vibrant and student-focused classroom environment are also key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Fashion Designing, including design trends, pattern making, textile techniques, and garment construction.
• Experience in academic instruction, curriculum development, and student mentorship.
• Proficiency in using design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant tools.
• Knowledge of industry practices, such as trend forecasting, merchandising, and sustainable fashion.
• Strong research and publication record in the field of fashion design or related areas.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with colleagues.
• Master’s degree or higher in Fashion Designing or related disciplines is required. A Ph.D. or equivalent qualifications would be an added advantage.
• Prior experience in teaching and/or relevant industry experience is preferred.
