Location: The role is based in Delhi. This role requires travel to the field, especially within UP. This is a full-time role
(Monday-Friday) with a contract for a duration of one year, extendable upon mutual agreement. Applicants should be
authorised to work in India.
Experience (in years): A minimum 1-2 years’ work experience in an analytical, quantitative or policy role.

About Department/Centre:
The Centre for Social and Behaviour Change (CSBC), Ashoka University
CSBC was founded by and is part of Ashoka University, India’s leading liberal arts university, and is supported by the

expertise to improve outcomes in nutrition, sanitation, maternal health, family planning, and financial services through

Role and Responsibilities:
The Senior Project Associate will lead the execution of the project, working closely with government and non-
government stakeholders, travelling to field sites to collect information and monitor data collection, and contributing
to data analysis. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of research and policy.
The Project Associate will work closely with the project team to:
1. Conduct literature reviews, landscaping and scoping analysis while applying behavioural lens to draw out
insights
2. Lead formative research activities, including planning field activities, designing interview tools, facilitating
interviews and focus group discussions with target stakeholders, and analysing qualitative data
3. Conceptualise, design and develop behavioural interventions to increase teacher uptake of effective
instructional practices for FLN
4. Prototype interventions in the field to gain user insights and iterate on design and implementation plans
5. Plan and manage the execution of a large scale RCT and coordinate with partners to monitor the deployment of
intervention
6. Work closely with different teams and stakeholders to respond to project needs like preparation of project
documents and guidelines, support in stakeholder and knowledge management, etc.
7. Develop structures for project management, and timely delivery of outputs
Eligibility:
- Experience of conducting field work or primary research in peri-urban/rural India
- Experience with managing datasets using programming languages such as R, Stata, etc.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g economics, behavioural and social
sciences, statistics, management, public policy, education
Competencies:
- Ability to manage and respond to varied tasks in a quick and efficient manner with high analytical and problem-
solving abilities
- An understanding of experimental research methods would be an advantage
Skill Sets :
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills – able to manage various stakeholders and develop strong
project documents and briefs
- Fluency in English and Hindi (Required)
