About Ashoka Centre for Well-Being:
Established in 2016, the Ashoka Centre for Well-being (ACWB) is a non-aligned Centre offering counselling and

psychological support for students, staff and faculty at Ashoka University. ACWB was established to provide a safe

space that offers free and confidential individual and group counselling support. It is the only Centre of its kind in

India with its focus on capacity building at every level of an organization.

Operating with a mindset of well-being, instead of diagnosis, ACWB focuses on preventive, clinical, and promotional

aspects of mental well-being. The Centre’s focus lies in promoting the value of good mental health to improve

individual coping capacity through skill-building. The Centre extends its support to the wider community through

awareness programs, peer support programs, social media advocacy, interactive workshops and groups sessions

within and outside Ashoka. Our mission is to multiply the ACWB impact and continue our work in making mental

health accessible, inclusive and equitable for all through awareness and capacity building.

As we expand, we are looking for individuals who can become a part of our growing team and take our mission

forward.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Conduct one to one counselling sessions with Ashokans who reach out to the Centre
• Handle Centre’s Helpline
• Mental Health Crisis Management
• Report writing, regular record keeping and data analysis
• Taking regular supervision
• Take part in outreach, psychoeducation and advocacy programs taken up by the Centre
• Take part in workshops and group sessions conducted by the Centre

Eligibility: Experience of working with Young Adults and Adults particularly within an educational institute would

be preferable

Education Qualification: MA/MPhil in Psychology with specialization in Counselling/Clinical Psychology from a

reputed Institute/University

Competencies and Skill Sets:

• Ability to communicate and connect with Young Adults and Adults
• Ability to work within a team
• Writing skills
• Experience of working with groups and conducting workshops
• Experience of conducting and writing research
• Some basic skills in working with MS Office
• Designing and writing Advocacy posts and write-ups
