Job Title: Therapist and Counsellor for Special EducationOrganization: Edtech based non profitLocation: Madhya Pradesh (MP) or Maharashtra, IndiaKey Responsibilities:Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one counseling and therapeutic support to students with diverse neurodivergent needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other developmental disabilities.Assessment: Conduct assessments to understand students’ unique needs and develop tailored therapy plans.Collaboration: Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and needs of neurodivergent students within the educational system and broader community.Training: Offer guidance and training to teachers and staff on strategies to support neurodivergent students in the classroom.Documentation: Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide regular updates to the team.Research and Innovation: Stay current with the latest developments in special education and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.Qualifications:A degree in Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, or a related field.Professional certification in counseling or therapy is highly desirable.Experience in working with neurodivergent students, preferably in an educational setting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to the cause of special education.Willingness to work in either Madhya Pradesh or Maharashtra.Additional Information:This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth within the organization.Competitive salary and benefits package.Travel within the region may be required.
