Role Overview

As a Backend Engineer at Ed Labs, your primary role will be to design, develop, and maintain the server-side logic for our educational tech platform. You will be at the heart of ensuring the robustness, efficiency, and scalability of our backend systems.

Responsibilities

1. Backend Development: Architect and develop server-side applications. Strong command over Python language and experience with Flask is a must.
2. Craft RESTful APIs: Previous experience of building server APIs and integrating with databases, and ensure seamless interfacing with external services.
3. Cloud Management: Leveraging Google Cloud Platform’s suite of tools to deploy, manage, and optimize our platform’s backend components. Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a must.
4. Database Management: Design state-of-the-art database schemas, formulate efficient queries, and guarantee impeccable data integrity. Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB is a must.
5. System Integration: Collaborate actively with other tech teams to assimilate third-party APIs, services, and libraries into the core application structure.
6. Code Maintenance and Optimization: Uphold a standard of clean, modular, and maintainable code. Engage in regular code reviews, bug resolutions, and optimizations to ensure scalability.
7. Collaboration and Teamwork: Foster strong relationships with product managers, UX designers, and fellow engineers in a dynamic Agile setting. Engage in key architectural debates, offer technical viewpoints, and be a proactive member of company-wide endeavors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Profound expertise in backend development with Python, or similar languages. Mastery of pertinent frameworks of Flask.
• Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and its suite of services.
• Robust understanding of database design, query optimization, and hands-on experience with both relational and MongoDB.
• Proficiency in version control tools like Git and adeptness with collaborative development workflows.
• Outstanding problem-solving acumen, with the skill to troubleshoot complex challenges and rectify code efficiently.
• Stellar communication abilities paired with unwavering teamwork spirit.

Work Hours and Nature of Work

Our standard remains a 40-hour workweek. Given our modern approach, we are 100% remote. Choose your conducive work environment, and enjoy our flexible hours tailored to individual needs.

Salary

The compensation package hinges on your expertise and the value you bring to the table. We offer a range between 6 LPA to 12 LPA, negotiable based on merit.
